South of the Border Fiesta

South of the Border Fiesta Ideas

Spicy food, margaritas, brightly colored décor…olé! It’s South of the Border Fiesta time. And that means good times, fun and food. Lots and lots of food! Here are a few ways to host an amazing fiesta without a lot of fuss.

Décor
Use brightly colored tablecloths, sombreros and streamers. Small cacti in terra cotta pots make cute table centerpieces. Let guests get into the fun with a photobooth featuring fake mustaches and sombreros. Want to make your fiesta even more memorable? Add Party Sweets™ personalized candy to your tables!

Invitations
Simply stamp the word “fiesta” on the front of a note card and use vibrant crepe paper fringe to liven it up. The details can be typed up and printed on regular printer paper, then cut out and glued inside.

Food
Your guests will enjoy a salsa bar featuring a wide variety of dips and chips. A make-your-own-burrito bar will also be a big hit, and the rest of the spread can consist of colorful desserts, such as piñata cookies. Margaritas and Mexican beer can round out the food/beverage tables.

Piñatas
Of course you have to have a piñata! You could even have two piñatas – one for adults and one for kids. Fill the children’s piñata with Party Sweets wrapped mints to match your décor. The adult piñata can be filled with lottery tickets, gift cards and movie passes, as well as the traditional candy.
