Western Party

Western Party Ideas

Whether held in a field, barn or house, a Western party is a fun, laid-back way to celebrate. Check out these cool, country party ideas that we know y’all will love.

Décor
Use hay bales covered with burlap blankets for outdoor seating, especially around a bonfire. Lawn torches are great for lighting the way to the food table. Add checkered tablecloths, and place some mini LED lights inside mason jars for beautiful centerpieces. Small metal pails are a perfect way to display your Party Sweets™ western themed candy wrapped mints. (Link to product-specific page) Or make the event even more special with personalized wrapped mints.

Food
A Western party is a great opportunity for a chili cook off or potluck, where everyone brings a dish to share. Your menu could include barbecue, fried chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob, potato salad and cornbread. And don’t forget the beer (or root beer) served in jars.

Attire
When you send invitations, make sure to tell your guests that they are encouraged to dress in costume. Western sheriff and saloon girl costumes are plentiful online, and it’s easy to put together a casual Western-style outfit with jeans, boots, cowboy hats and red handkerchiefs. A fun extra that is also easy to find online is a “wanted poster” photo backdrop. Your guests will have a great time posing for pictures.
